"Is Fearr Lúbadh ná Briseadh"

This is an old Irish proverb or ‘Seanfhocal’ meaning -

"It is better to bend than to break".

It is better to have the ability to ‘bend’ or adapt to the ups and downs of life rather than be broken by them. Too much pride, stubbornness and listening to our ego leads to inflexibility.

This 'Seanfhocal' reminds us of the importance of finding balance in our lives so that we can thrive and live to our fullest potential.

Yoga embodies this idea.

The practice of Yoga helps to prevent us from breaking physically and emotionally under to the strains and stresses of life.

Meditation, breathwork and the physical yoga practice (asana) keep our mind and body open, enhancing our quality of being.
