“It doesn't matter if we can't touch our toes. What matters is the positive attitude and open heart that we each bring to the mat, and beyond, into our daily lives.” - Naoise

Naoise’s Background

Naoise is a firm believer that Yoga is for everybody. She is driven by her passion to explore the practice in its entirety, while guiding people of all ages and levels on their journey to experience the joy and benefits of Yoga.

Naoise has been fascinated by Yoga for many years and attended classes infrequently at her local studio since the age of 15. Yoga became a very important aspect of her life in her twenties and as her journey evolved, her love of Yoga has grown.

She believes that Yoga is a wonderful tool to help us feel grounded in today’s world, as well as helping us feel balanced and deeply connected with our true selves during every phase of life.

Naoise’s philosophy is that Yoga is not about the pursuit of perfection or achieving that ‘perfect pose’, but an inward journey of self-discovery, self-love and acceptance.

Naoise’s Style

Naoise offers a range of classes and has experience teaching people of all ages and physical ability. A degree in Sport Science has given her an in depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology, which she incorporates into her group and private classes. As a Gaelic Football player of eighteen years, Naoise understands the positive impact Yoga can have on injury prevention, mobility and the mental resilience of athletes.

Naoise’s favourite type of Yoga to teach is ‘Vinyasa’, which is a dynamic and fluid practice linking movement with breath. What she loves most about this style is that no two classes have to be the same, which gives her the opportunity to create fun combinations.

In Naoise’s group classes, expect to move freely, while building strength, stamina and flexibility. She loves helping her students find their edge by offering challenging variations within sequences.

All of Naoise’s classes have an emphasis on practicing asanas with correct alignment. She encourages her students to build an awareness for their own body. This will ensure each student gets the best they can out of each posture without any risk of injury
